Garden Spells by Sarah Addison Allen

This book is a one of a kind idea! Written in 3rd person point of view it includes all the main characters thoughts. The books starts with Claire Waverly, a caterer who has a garden full of magic edible flowers. Weird.... but it gets weirder. Her family is known for being weird. With her apple tree that tells people the biggest moment of their lives, her town of Bascom, North Carolina knows all about it. Her family is broken. Her sister gone. Her mom dead along with her grandmother. But when her sister Sydney appears out of no where with a 5 year old daughter, what does Claire do? THIS IS NOT A CHILDREN BOOK!!!!!!! It has some scenes that are very "mature" and foul language. So this book I dub is for ADULT READING ONLY! It's still a great book, making you figure it out as you read along. I stayed up until 4:00am reading it, then I finished it. I give it 5 out of 5 stars!

MIR:Odyssey of the Dragon's daughter by Ivonne Fernandez

This book has very interesting idea's and elements. There are several characters that get their experiences heard, but the main character is Mir, a girl who lives in the mountains. She has amazing abilities and strength and with her dog Lobo, she goes out on a adventure to save her world and others from the demons. There is a little disappointment in the end........ it says to be continued! Since this book is newer and was released this year, the next part isn't going to come out any time soon. There was a great plot and a unique idea, but with so many characters in the story you had to focus to figure out who's story this was, and then switch to another. It took away from the overall storyline. It's a good book, really, but fewer characters would have made it a GREAT book.

The Red Pyramid by Rick Riordan

My second book review in 2 days! I told you I loved reading :-). I'm going to post a new book List after this because I now have no books currently being read! Here's my new review!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 The Red Pyramid is one of my favorite books now! Based off actual Egyptian Mythology it has exciting and unexpected plot twists that will keep you guessing!! Made in the format of switching from the 2 main characters first person point of veiw, it has humor and sadness. The 2 main characters Carter and Sadie Kane are plunged into a world of magic and destruction. Having to save their dad from the evil Red Lord Set the egyptian God of Chaos, they meet Gods and Goddesses, magicians that are after them for a reason I'm not telling, (I'm not a spoiler!!!), and travel all over the world! It's a unique, funny, and educational book all at the same time! Shares the same fame for Percy and the Olympians by the same author, it's never going to disappoint! Blessed Be.
First book review Hurricane Dancers by Margarita Engle
Hurricane Dancers is a unique and original story! Based off the European seize of Cuba it is a story that will catch your eye and heart. The main character Quebrado is a slave on a pirate ship in the Caribbean. Both Spanish and Cuban Indian, he calls himself "broken one". His adventures in the story will help him realize how he can mend himself as he meets Caucubu the chief's daughter and Narido the best fisherman in the village. Quebrado finds himself in this historical fiction based off the first Caribbean shipwreck. Written in the form of poetry/sections instead on the traditional chapter/paragraphs, it shows both sides of captor, prisoner, victim, and civilian. A fast read for people who are busy or on the go. Sure to leave you satisfied and peaceful. Blessed Be.
